EPJ is pleased to announce that January 2020 will see the appointment of two new Editors-in-Chief for EPJ E, Prof Fabrizio Croccolo (Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour, France) and Prof Dr Holger Stark (Technische Universität Berlin, Germany).
Fabrizio Croccolo is Professor at the Anglet site of the Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour in France and leads an Industrial Chair focused on CO2 storage. His research interests mainly cover the development of imaging optical techniques for investigating fluids in non-equilibrium conditions. He has been involved in several experiments in microgravity including GRADFLEX, SCCO-SJ10, DCMIX4 and NEUF-DIX. He has been a member of the Editorial Board for EPJE since 2017 and guest editor of 4 Topical Issues.
Holger Stark, a member of the EPJE Editorial Board since 2007, has broad research interests in soft matter and biological physics. He currently works on the theoretical modeling of active matter, microswimmers, and hydrodynamic problems related to inertial microfluidics and elastic turbulence of viscoelastic fluids.
Prof Croccolo and Prof Dr Stark will join existing EiC Prof François Graner (Université Paris 7 "Denis Diderot", France), forming a team of three who will handle papers across experimental and theoretical soft matter and biological physics. Prof Francesco Sciortino, who has served as EiC since 2015, steps down on December 31st. We congratulate Prof Croccolo and Prof Dr Stark on their new appointments, and we would like to sincerely thank Prof Sciortino for all of his work on EPJE over the past five years.
